warped parents

this parent was arguing that mothers should not always nag at their children to complete their assignments.

"grrr - a pet peeve. Moms should not be on the hook continually monitoring homework; teachers should be. This is how kids need to learn what natural consequences will be for their behavior in the adult world; not how to negotiate and wheedle their parents. If my girl doesn’t do her homework, she should get a ‘D’, fail, and/or have to make it up by term’s end to go on in school. I had a beef with even signing my kids’ homework, though I always showed interest in their studies. That was their contract with their schools/teachers and the outside world, not me and their dad."

contract?!

that's parents these days.
they think that just by sending their children to school,
all problems, such as education, manners, discipline, health issues, etc,
will and must be solved by the teachers in school.

it's so frustrating to be a teacher,
because the parents will blame you for every problem that you did not fix.
